Nicknamed the Night Stalker or the self-proclaimed Satan Worshiping killer, Richard Ramerez was one of the worst serial killers America has ever had and an evil jerk of all trends on the inside. His reign of terror was one that had never been seen or heard before.
Richard was born on February 29, 1960, in El Paso, Texas. Though born of a Christian family (Catholics), the environment of the house was not conducive for a child upbringing. His father, Mercedes, was quick to anger. Instead of seeking help, he took it out on everyone in the house, and physical violence became the order of the day. Frustrated by his father’s actions, Richard began rebelling against the catholic rules in the house and stopped attending church. At the age of 5, he suffered a head injury while at school, leaving him unconscious for some time. After recovering, his life was never the same again. He began experiencing multiple seizures.
Like any child, he deserved love and attention from both parents, but bonding between the two seemed impossible with his father's brutality.
