Polly Hannah Klaas was born on January 3 1981, in Fairfax, California, USA. Sadly, her parents, Marc and Eve, parted ways when she was two. Soon after the divorce, things seemed pretty tough for Eve, adapting into a single mom and solely providing for her daughter. Wanting the best for Polly, she worked hard to give her a safe home.
Though they frequently moved from one place to the other, they finally settled in Petaluma, California. It seems the new home brought a new person into the picture, Allan Nichol, who soon became Polly's stepfather. In 1987, a new member was added into the family, Annie, Polly's half-sister.
